It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and once went over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a chance to produce her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the young family member of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup came three months after her debut and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 efforts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India temporarily stopped the run of success.

That loss "motivated us to rethink our standards," Healy said this week.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the championship match and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not fail again.

Whether this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort is debatable.

Some will argue the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this century was considerably tougher to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this performance came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it's been a disappointing period because it appeared I lacked timing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in replacing iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in every game, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the bowler's initial ball and from that point the batsman was in motion.

"A chance to play and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself that way, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was removed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph coming after win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.
